Vintage 1975 Action Man Secret Mission to Dragon Island Complete Box Set

The vintage 1975-76 Action Man Secret Mission to Dragon Island boxed set was only released for two years. Like many of the more popular sets, it’s rarely found complete or in great condition. This box contains the entire collection of treasured items, including several items that are unique to this set, plus a pair of unbroken gold pliers.

The condition of each component is:

• Secret Mission to Dragon Island Box includes the oftentimes missing insert! Remarkably clean inside and out. Lovely bright graphics. No water damage on this beauty. One small split seam, light surface wear and missing stars are the main note. Display with pride!
• Top Secret Map is a rare, genuine vintage original. Light play wear, typical fold line creases, and light yellowing with age are the main notes. No kiddie graffiti. Clean bright graphics.
• Dragon Island Leaflet is intact with no kiddie graffiti. A few small stains and paper yellowing from age are the main note.
• Olive drab Army Fatigues that are unique to this set: jacket and trousers and a really hard to find belt, all made of a light weight fabric. Jacket has two pockets and snaps. Trousers are a plain design with no pockets and a single snap. Jacket tag reads Palitoy Action Man Made in Hong Kong. The outfit is clean and intact with very light play wear.
• Late Issue Green Army Helmet with black rubber strap is clean and intact with tab and chin strap present. No cracks or melt marks noted.
• Rucksack unique to this set is clean and intact with all parts present. No play wear noted on the hinge and straps. Crack on front is the main note.
• Late issue Sterling Sub Machine Gun with rubber strap and clip present is clean and intact with no issues noted.
• Unpainted Silver .45 pistol that’s unique to this set, plus black holster are in excellent condition. A split on holster is noted in photo.
• Grenades (4) are clean and intact with no issues noted.
• Dynamite (3) TNT sticks are clean and intact with a messy dab of factory paint noted on one.
• Compass in clean and intact with working dial.
• Yellow Cloth Rope is clean and very brightly colored with no visible play wear.
• Gold tone Wire Cutters (GI Joe calls them pliers) are intact and in perfect working order. Light paint wear. No breaks or repairs.
• Jungle Knife with blunt tip and unpainted handle is clean and intact with no issues noted.
• Green Flashlight/Torch with silver paint lens has issues noted. Minimal play wear. No paint rubs.
• Mess Kit stamped Hasbro ® is clean and complete with handle, knife, fork and spoon.

While the following accessories do not appear in the box content list,  according to several sources, they were included (and were found) in sealed box sets:

• Water Bottle / Canteen is clean and intact and with minimal wear.
• Flat sole, short black boots are clean and intact, without splits or holes, and only minimal play wear.
